As part of the safety initiative, Yango mandates that drivers upload a profile photo during registration. This allows passengers to verify the driver’s identity by comparing the photo in the app with the driver who arrives. Additionally, drivers must submit photos of their driver’s license and vehicle, which undergo rigorous verification before they can begin accepting orders.

Within the passenger app, the Safety Center offers essential safety tools, including an SOS button for emergencies, a Share Route feature for real-time trip sharing, and an Emergency Situation button for additional support. Passengers can designate trusted contacts and specify how frequently ride details are shared with them, ensuring someone is aware of their location during trips. In case of emergencies, the SOS button enables passengers to directly contact local authorities through the app for immediate assistance.

Passengers also have the option to share comprehensive trip details such as the route, driver’s name, and vehicle plate number with their contacts, adding an extra layer of security. They can review driver ratings based on feedback from other passengers, helping them choose drivers with higher ratings for a safer journey.

Upon accepting a booking, drivers can view the passenger’s rating, which is compiled from feedback provided by other drivers. After each trip, drivers can submit a rating form to provide feedback on the passenger, fostering a respectful and safe environment. Drivers are informed of the passenger’s name upon accepting an order, facilitating easier identification and communication.

Yango maintains a dedicated Support Incident Team available 24/7 to address any conflicts or urgent issues between drivers and passengers. This team is specially trained to handle sensitive situations, ensuring drivers feel supported and protected.
