Toyota Shows Off High-Performance SUV Concept made from 3D Printed Parts

The Hyper-F Concept SUV exemplifies cutting-edge design elements. Its front bumper and hood vents utilize Tafnex, an advanced material known for its lightweight properties, in collaboration with Mitsui Chemicals and ARRK Corporation. These innovations significantly reduce the vehicle’s weight, thereby enhancing its overall performance.

Unlike conventional SUVs typically featuring two seats, the Hyper-F Concept SUV boasts four sporty seats, prioritizing both space and comfort. This development was facilitated by TCD Asia, leveraging state-of-the-art 3D printing technologies, including the EXF-12 printer from ExtraBold Inc.

The EXF-12 employs pellet-fed 3D printing, ensuring stability and speed, especially beneficial for manufacturing large components. This method not only accelerates production but also lowers costs, contributing to sustainable practices by enabling the recycling of printed items back into pellets for future use.
