The federal government has made a significant decision regarding the salaries of the Rangers and Frontier Corps (FC) in Pakistan. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has given the green light to a substantial increase in salaries for the civil armed forces, amounting to approximately 56%. The exact raise will vary depending on the rank of the personnel.
Approved by the Finance Ministry, the revised basic pay scale for 2024 for these forces will see the highest increase at 55.76%, equating to Rs31,810 per month. This adjustment will impact several groups, including Punjab Rangers, Sindh Rangers, FC North and South Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FC North and South Balochistan, Pakistan Coast Guards, Gilgit Baltistan Scouts, and Frontier Constabulary.
The primary objective behind this move is to offer better financial support to the personnel of these forces, acknowledging their crucial role in upholding security and stability across the nation. By aligning their salaries with those of the Pakistan Army, the government aims to elevate morale and ensure that these forces receive adequate compensation for their invaluable service.
