Atif Butt, representing the Falcons, clinched the title in the Tekken 8 World Tour at FV Major 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with a commanding 3-0 victory over The Jon (Ashes) in the finals. His journey to the top began with a decisive 2-0 win against Infested (DRX) in the Winners Semi-Final.
Advancing to the Winners Final, Atif Butt secured his spot in the Grand Final by besting The Jon. Although The Jon made a strong comeback in the Losers Final against Navi AK, he was unable to overcome Atif in their rematch for the championship.
Earlier in July, Atif also triumphed at CEO 2024’s Tekken 8 tournament. He demonstrated his prowess by defeating Keisuke 2-0 in the Winners Semi-Final and Doujin 3-1 in the Winners Final. In a thrilling Grand Final rematch, Atif edged out Keisuke with a 3-2 victory to claim the title.
Atif Butt, alongside the renowned Arslan Ash, is celebrated as one of the premier Tekken players worldwide. His prominence in the Tekken community soared after his victory at the Tekken World Tour 2022 Finals, where he defeated top international players, including South Korea’s Jeon DDing.
