This year, Pakistan has witnessed a remarkable surge in mango exports, underscoring a burgeoning global appetite for this tropical delicacy. Since the export season commenced on May 20, 2024, over 93,000 metric tonnes of mangoes, valued at $61 million, have been shipped worldwide.
The primary destinations for these exports include the UAE, Iran, and other countries in the Middle East, highlighting the region’s strong affinity for Pakistani mangoes. This surge in exports is primarily attributed to enhanced production techniques and the consistent delivery of high-quality fruits. Central to this success is the proactive role played by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).
