Pakistan, China Issued Joint Statement During PM’s Visit to China, 23 Agreements & MoUs Signed

PM Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s recent trip to China strengthened the bond between the two nations, culminating in a joint statement highlighting their commitment to collaboration. A total of 23 agreements and MOUs were inked during the visit, spanning key areas such as CPEC, agriculture, infrastructure, and industrial cooperation.

Significant projects like the upgradation of ML-1, realignment of the Karakoram Highway (Raikot-Thakot), and enhancement of inspection infrastructure at the Khunjerab-Sost pass were emphasized in the joint statement, underscoring the shared focus on regional development and connectivity. Furthermore, Gwadar port infrastructure emerged as a focal point for future cooperation, reflecting the strategic significance of the port in enhancing trade and connectivity in the region.
