Forbes Advisor has ranked Karachi, Pakistan, as the second riskiest city globally, based on an extensive evaluation of 60 cities across seven risk categories: crime, personal safety, health, infrastructure, natural disasters, and digital security.
The report reveals that Karachi particularly struggles with high levels of personal security risks. This means residents and visitors are exposed to considerable threats from crime, violence, terrorism, and natural disasters. Economic instability further exacerbates the overall risk profile of the city.
These findings highlight the pressing need for improvements in public safety and infrastructure in Karachi to create a safer environment for both its inhabitants and visitors.
