Govt Reduces Petrol Price by Rs. 10

The government has issued a significant update regarding fuel prices, effective June 15th.

Starting with petrol, the price will decrease by Rs10.20, resulting in a new rate of Rs258.16 per litre. Similarly, high-speed diesel (HSD) will see a reduction of Rs2.33, bringing its price down to Rs267.89 per litre. Meanwhile, the prices of kerosene oil and light diesel oil (LDO) will remain unchanged at Rs171.61 and Rs157.32 per litre, respectively.

This adjustment follows a previous reduction implemented on June 1st. Alongside these changes, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a substantial cut of Rs10.69 per unit in electricity tariffs for the industrial sector. The new tariff of Rs34.99 per unit aims to bolster exports and boost production within the country.

These measures are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to alleviate consumer burden and bolster industrial growth amid prevailing economic challenges.
