Foodpanda Pakistan has announced a significant collaboration with QJ Diagnostic, a prominent medical laboratory in Islamabad/Rawalpindi and a sister concern of CitiLab. This partnership is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of foodpanda’s delivery riders by offering free Hepatitis-C medical camps. The initiative highlights both companies’ commitment to ensuring the safety and health of those who play a vital role in foodpanda’s operations.
Zubair Nasir, CEO of QJ Diagnostic, shared his thoughts on the collaboration: “QJ Diagnostic was established in loving memory of my late mother, Qamar Jahan Begum, with the goal of eradicating Hepatitis C in Pakistan. In the past eight months, we have conducted tests for over 9,000 underserved individuals, including foodpanda riders, and have provided treatment for more than 400 patients who tested positive in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Our dedication to improving public health remains steadfast as we continue to make a significant impact.”
The Hepatitis-C medical camps, held at the F-8 and Saddar hubs in Islamabad, offered free ICT Hepatitis-C and Hepatitis-C PCR tests, along with comprehensive treatment.
Muntaqa Peracha, Managing Director of foodpanda Pakistan, emphasized the importance of the initiative: “Our riders are the backbone of our operations, and their health is crucial to our success. This partnership with QJ Diagnostic enables us to provide essential medical services to our delivery riders, helping them stay healthy and perform their duties effectively. We appreciate QJ Diagnostic’s support and dedication to this cause.”
QJ Diagnostic is well-regarded for its expertise in Hepatitis-C testing and treatment, having served various esteemed organizations, including NAB, FIA, ANF (Anti Narcotic Force), BMW, Toyota Motors, and Marriott Hotel, among others. This partnership underscores foodpanda’s ongoing dedication to the health and well-being of its riders, reinforcing the vital role they play in the company’s success.
