Feeling the Pulse of Digital Transformation: PM in Shenzhen, China

During the initial phase of his journey through China, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif embarked on a significant visit to Shenzhen. There, he explored the Shenzhen Exhibition Museum and the Nanshan one-stop service center for entrepreneurship, gaining insights into China’s modern infrastructure and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Impressed by what he witnessed, Prime Minister Sharif promptly instructed federal ministers and concerned officials to expedite the formulation of plans for establishing similar state-of-the-art systems in Pakistan. Recognizing the potential for economic growth and innovation, he emphasized the importance of adopting such progressive approaches to foster entrepreneurship and technological advancement within the country.

Continuing his engagements, Prime Minister Sharif also paid a visit to China’s tech powerhouse, Huawei. During this visit, a pivotal framework agreement was inked, signaling a new chapter of collaboration. Under this agreement, Huawei pledged to offer free training to a staggering 200,000 Pakistani youths in Information Technology, including cutting-edge fields like artificial intelligence. This initiative holds immense promise for empowering the Pakistani workforce with essential skills needed to thrive in the digital age, thus further cementing bilateral ties and fostering mutual growth between the two nations.
