In light of a recent incident involving the Pakistani embassy in Germany, the federal cabinet has launched the “Hurmat-e-Parcham Campaign” to reaffirm the significance of the national flag. Kicking off on July 25, 2024, the campaign has seen key federal figures, including Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and Information Minister Ataullah Tarar, posting photos with the national flag on social media, accompanied by messages of pride and patriotism.
The primary aim of the Hurmat-e-Parcham Campaign is to reinforce the national flag as a powerful symbol of unity and sovereignty for Pakistan. High-ranking officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, have actively supported the campaign, urging citizens from all backgrounds to participate and express their allegiance to the flag.
This campaign is designed to extend over the course of August, culminating with Pakistan’s Independence Day celebrations. By stretching the initiative across a month, the government hopes to deepen the sense of national pride and unity among Pakistanis.
Throughout the campaign, a variety of activities and events will be held to engage the public and highlight the flag’s importance. These efforts aim to inspire citizens to display the flag with pride and recognize its role as a symbol of the nation’s strength and unity.
The Hurmat-e-Parcham Campaign serves as a reminder of the core values and shared identity that the national flag represents. It encourages Pakistanis to unite in a collective show of respect and love for their country, reinforcing national solidarity and patriotism.
