Day of Arafat! Millions of Pilgrims to Perform Rukn-e-Azm of Hajj 2024 Today

The Hajj pilgrimage of 2024 in Saudi Arabia has drawn together over 1.5 million Muslim pilgrims, marking a profound spiritual journey for adherents of Islam worldwide. Commencing with key rituals that began last Friday, the pilgrimage is currently focused on the Waqoof-e-Arafa at the Plain of Arafat today. This location holds great significance as it was where Prophet Muhammad (SAW) delivered his final sermon.

Today’s events include the Hajj Sermon at Masjid-e-Nimrah, translated into 50 languages to ensure accessibility for the diverse group of pilgrims present. Following their time at Arafat, pilgrims will journey to Muzdalifa to gather pebbles for the upcoming ritual of stoning the devil’s pillars in Mina.

The culmination of this spiritual journey will be marked by the celebration of Eid al-Adha, during which pilgrims will participate in Qurbani, the sacrificial offering of animals. This act symbolizes obedience and submission to Allah’s commandments.

As one of the five pillars of Islam, the Hajj pilgrimage holds profound importance, drawing Muslims from across the globe to participate in these sacred rites. This year’s pilgrimage underscores the enduring significance of this religious duty and the unity it fosters among believers worldwide.
