In Riyadh, Mohammad Hasnain of Pakistan secured a hard-fought victory over compatriot Ahsan Ramzan with a 4-3 scoreline in the final of the Asian U21 Snooker Championship.
Hasnain, undefeated in the group stage, faced stiff competition from Ramzan, the defending champion from Iran last year. Hasnain’s journey to the final included notable wins over Shawn Lee of Hong Kong (4-1) in the semi-finals and Ranveer Duggal of India (4-3) in the quarter-finals.
In a separate event, Awais Munir, also from Pakistan, has progressed to the final of the Asian 6-Red Championship. He is poised to take on Nansen Wan of Hong Kong for the title.
