The Ministry of Religious Affairs in Pakistan advised caution regarding information circulated on social media about the incident.
Although Saudi Arabia did not disclose the exact number of fatalities, they reported more than 2,700 cases of pilgrims suffering from heat exhaustion during the pilgrimage.
